Voice Of The Venus\
Board Game Design

Voice of The Venus is a board game designed to explore themes of gender equality and social justice through strategy and narrative. Players navigate challenges, form alliances, and make critical decisions that reflect real-world struggles for equity. The game integrates storytelling and interactive mechanics to engage players in a thought-provoking experience that highlights the fight for systemic change.
Design Process
The design process for Voice of Venus involved extensive research on gender equality movements, historical struggles, and systemic challenges. The game mechanics were developed to balance strategy, collaboration, and narrative-driven decision-making, ensuring an engaging yet meaningful experience. Visual elements were carefully crafted to reflect the game’s themes, using symbolic iconography, bold typography, and a rich color palette to reinforce its message.
Prototyping and playtesting played a crucial role in refining the mechanics and storytelling, creating an interactive experience that is both thought-provoking and immersive.

The color palette is rooted in classic red, blue, and white, echoing the host nations while also symbolizing passion, trust, and unity. The red stars accentuate the international aspect of the competition, while the curved red base mimics the foot’s contact with the ball, reinforcing the movement and essence of the sport.
Behind the Design
This project challenged me to integrate game mechanics, storytelling, and visual identity into a cohesive and meaningful experience. I learned the importance of balancing engagement with purpose, ensuring that every design choice reinforced the game’s core themes.
Through this process, I developed new skills in interactive narrative design, strategic gameplay development, and symbolic visual communication, deepening my ability to craft immersive experiences. Iteration and playtesting reinforced the value of refining mechanics early, allowing for a more impactful final product.
Overall, this project expanded my creative and problem-solving abilities, strengthening my confidence in designing purpose-driven, interactive experiences that go beyond traditional mediums.
